Psalm 51:8-9

8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
   let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
9 Hide your face from my sins
   and blot out all my iniquity.

Did you HEAR joy and gladness this weekend?  We often become so wrapped up in what we are doing that we don’t ever stop and soak it all in…  My husband and I taught this Easter weekend and we both HEARD joy and gladness…  We had the largest class of 4 and 5 year olds we’d ever had and I think it was one of the most fun classes we’ve ever had.  We had 19 kids on a Saturday night service, praise God!

Why is it harder to hear joy and gladness from adults?  Well, we have let worries and fears dictate what we think about…  And thus what we speak about.  We need to deal with the bad issues in our life and be done with it…  Don’t let them take over your every thought and get you upset, angry and depressed…  So speak about all the negative stuff…  get it out in the open and not be ashamed but also remember all the good, and try to speak more about all the good.  What good would it do to let all the bad stuff overtake us?  I hope you can hear the joy and gladness despite having crused bones…  and rejoice, today.  Rejoice that HE has risen and those who believe that will have eternal life.

I hope you all had a blessed weekend with family and friends!
