Food Cleanse, here we come…

Has anyone done a food cleanse?  Well, I have been really interested for a while in hopes that it will flush out the toxins and help get us refocused and feeling great.  I’ve been having trouble staying asleep, getting headaches, and just lacking energy.  A lot of the food cleases only use certain foods and are lacking in some areas that your body needs.  But I found one on the Dr. Oz website that looks easy to follow and is healthy.  The BEST thing is it’s for 48 hrs so you can do it in a weekend.  I went to Hannaford and bought double of everything on the list except… quinoa, cucumbers, string beans, olive oil, ginger, lemon juice, salt, pepper, garlic, and paprika because we had them in the house or I can get them from the garden.  The total was $66.  I didn’t think that was that bad considering that is our meals and snacks and it’s hopefully going to make us feel a lot better.  I’ll let everyone know how it went!   Go HERE to check it out!

That’s funny. I love Dr. Oz, but he contradicts himself sometimes. He had a show on detoxes once, and he said he doesn’t like them. I think the main reason was that people think they can detox and then go back to their normal eating. I have to say, after we watched Forks over Knives, I’ve been eating less foods derived from animals and more plant based foods, and noticing a big difference!
