SOAP – 3/26/14

For the next 2 weeks I’ll be following Proverbs31′s daily devotionals to study. I hope it helps me to become closer to my Father!

Today’s SOAP:

Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom.
One generation commends your works to another;
they tell of your mighty acts.
They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—
and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
~Psalms 145: 3-5

Our Lord is great and awesome.  What He’s done is enough to spread His greatness no one or thing comes close.  His actions which are glorious, splendid, and majestic should be deeply thought and prayed about so we have reverence and awe towards Him always.

Last Summer as the sun set on a lake we were camping at, the sky erupted in fire like beauty.  God made all this possible.  He created the sky, sun, atmosphere, and my eyes.  The sunset’s beauty has no purpose other than allow us such beauty to look at and enjoy.  There are so many things like this that we need to stop and enjoy and give thanks for His marvelous splendor.  No one or thing can make a sunset happen except God and we need to appreciate them more often!

Dear God, you are so great!  You are in control of everything and still take time to create beauty within it for me to enjoy and understand just how great you are!  Thank-you God!  Please help me to always notice the proof our your splendor, glory, and majesty all around me.  I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, AMEN!
